Our history is marked by a commitment to our customers’ satisfaction.
In 2013, Tuper entered the metal scaffolding and props market.
In 2012, Tuper Oil and Gas was inaugurated, which produces carbon steel pipes with the API seal (American Petroleum Institute). Besides producing API 5L and API 5CT pipes, this unit also produces steel tubes for structural and conduction applications, with diameters up to 13 3/8 inches and thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 16mm, in round, square and rectangular profiles, used in various segments such as construction, maritime, sugar-energy, mining, road equipment, among others.
In 2010, Tuper initiated production of galvanized tubes with the inauguration of the galvanizing factory, one of the most modern in Latin America. Parallel to its industrial expansion, the company created a new concept in distribution centers with the conceptualization of Tuper Commercial.
In 2008, Tuper acquired Vanzin Automotive, exhaust manufacturing company for the aftermarket located in Xanxerê, at the time one of Tuper’s main competitors. The negotiation also involved Vanfix Plásticos and Transpeças, located in Curitiba, responsible for product distribution.
In 2006, Tuper inaugurated the Special Tubes and Components unit, focused on manufacturing parts and components for the automotive industry.
In 2000, Tuper expanded its operations to the OEM exhaust system segment. The unit supplies the country’s largest automakers and had significant involvement in introducing exhaust gas aftertreatment systems for commercial vehicles to meet the standards of the Program for Control of Air Pollution from Motor Vehicles (Proconve P-7), which came into effect in 2012.
In 1989, the Roofing and Profile unit was born, currently known as Construction Systems, which also ranks among the national leaders in developing metal roofing systems.
The success of the business motivated and enabled other plants to emerge. In 1981, the Tubes unit was inaugurated, initially established to meet the raw material demand for exhausts, becoming one of the country’s largest manufacturers of welded carbon steel tubes.
Construction of this successful history began in 1971 when a small group of entrepreneurs started a new business which helped to diversify the regional economy in an innovative segment. Thus appeared the first Tuper product: automotive exhausts for the aftermarket.
