The activity gathered employees and their families, who completed a five-kilometer course set up on the company premises, located in the Bras\u00edlia neighborhood of S\u00e3o Bento do Sul (SC &#8211; Brazil).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, with around 200 registered participants, the event began at 8 a.m. with opening remarks and a warm-up session. Soon after, the participants followed a route along the side of the industrial complex to complete the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative is part of the <strong>Health in Focus<\/strong> program, which aims to encourage healthy habits and promote well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among participants of all ages, the enthusiasm of over twenty children in the youth category stood out during the walk. The little ones were especially curious to explore the environment that, for many, is where their parents work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"375\" height=\"375\" class=\"wp-image-15773\" style=\"width: 375px;\" src=\"https:\/\/tuper-prd.s3.sa-east-1.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Corrida-e-caminhada-e-sucesso-na-segunda-edicao-materia-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tuper-prd.s3.sa-east-1.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Corrida-e-caminhada-e-sucesso-na-segunda-edicao-materia-4.jpg 375w, https:\/\/tuper-prd.s3.sa-east-1.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Corrida-e-caminhada-e-sucesso-na-segunda-edicao-materia-4-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tuper-prd.s3.sa-east-1.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Corrida-e-caminhada-e-sucesso-na-segunda-edicao-materia-4-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><br>Part of the route went through the interior of the industrial complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New management present<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the first official public event following the company\u2019s acquisition by ArcelorMittal, the unit\u2019s new CEO, Sandro Sambaqui\u2014who also oversees the S\u00e3o Francisco do Sul (SC) and Contagem (MG) units\u2014was in attendance. On the occasion, he stated that initiatives like this one, involving employees and their families, will continue and be highly valued. These actions are in line with the multinational&#8217;s corporate policy. \u201c<em>I see many children here, and that\u2019s a great sign. [\u2026] Arcelor is a company with strong human values. It\u2019s present worldwide, but always with a focus on people<\/em>\u201d<em>, <\/em>he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participation recognized<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the event, all participants received medals. In addition, the top finishers received trophies and gifts. In the men\u2019s category, the winner was <strong>Geison Rodrigo Kachan<\/strong>, while <strong>Joc\u00e9lia Satitsky de Souza<\/strong> took first place in the women\u2019s category.
