One of the largest steel processing companies in the country and based in S\u00e3o Bento do Sul (SC), Tuper started its activities on February 1st, 1971.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With 2,000 employees and projected earnings of R$ 3 billions in 2020, Tuper is celebrating half a century of existence. The company was founded due to the bold initiative of a group of entrepreneurs who wanted to create a new economic alternative for the city, which then depended largely on the furniture industry. The initial niche was the production of automotive exhaust systems for the replacement market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A few years later, the company started its own production of pipes, essential to manufacture the exhausts. Currently, consolidated as one of the largest steel processing companies in Brazil, Tuper produces a wide portfolio beyond automotive exhaust systems, including black and galvanized carbon steel pipes for industrial, structural and transport applications; drawn pipes; API pipes; galvanized conduits; tubular foundation stakes with quick connection; metallic structural profiles, automotive parts and components; OEM exhaust systems; metallic roof systems; ribbed slabs; metallic braces; scaffolds; steel plates and slitters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Standard of excellence<\/strong> Tuper was elected the 35th largest company in Santa Catarina and the 148th of the south region of the country, in a survey conducted and disclosed by Amanh\u00e3 magazine in partnership with PwC Brasil. The company is also included in the Valor 1000 \u2013 MaioresEmpresas do Brasil list, by Valor Econ\u00f4micoEdi\u00e7\u00e3o 2020, occupying the 548th place, climbing seven positions in respect to the previous year. This shows that hard work, innovation and dedication, besides the constant search for quality and improvement, result in ultimate success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company grew, year after year, based on innovation, technology, qualified team and diversification. Largest pipe manufacturer in Latin America, Tuper has three three plants, with a total industrial area of 120 thousand m\u00b2 and productive capacity of 826 thousand tons of steel per year.
