HISTORY

1971

The beginning of a story

The success story began when a small group of entrepreneurs founded a company with the will to diversify the regional economy, mainly focused on the furniture industry. Thus, the first Tuper product came up: automotive exhaust system for the replacement market.

1981

Success boosted new advances

Inauguration of the Tubes unit with the purpose of serving the internal demand for exhaust system raw materials, which later became one of the largest manufacturers of welded carbon steel pipes in the country.

1989

Diversification

The Tile and Profile unit was created, currently called Tuper Constructive Systems, which is among the national leaders in the development of metallic roof systems.

2000

Follow the expansion

The years marks the expansion into of the exhaust system segment for the OEM market. Currently, the unit serves the largest car manufacturers in the country.

2006

Automotive industry

Tuper inaugurates the Special Tubes and Components unit, focusing on manufacturing parts and components for the automotive industry.

2008

Acquisition for expansion

Acquisition of Vanzin Automotive, exhaust system manufacturer for the replacement market located in Xanxerê-SC - at the time, one of the main competitors of the company. The negotiation also involved VanfixPlásticos, from Curitiba-PR, and Transpeças, responsible for product distribution.

2010

New markets

Beginning of galvanized tube production with the inauguration of the galvanization factory, one of the most modern in Latin America. In parallel with the industrial expansion, the company created a new concept in distribution centers with the Tuper Commercial format.

2012

Oil and gas pipes

Inauguration of Tuper Oil and Gas to manufacture carbon steel pipes with the API (American Petroleum Institute) seal. In addition to the production of API 5L and API 5CT tubes, the unit also manufactures steel pipes for structural and transport applications, with diameters of up to 13 3/8 inches and thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 16 mm, with round, square and rectangular profiles, used in several segments such as civil construction, naval industry, sugar-energy industry, mining, road implements, among others.

2013

Metallic scaffolds and braces

Entry in the metallic scaffolds and braces market. The scaffolds are manufactured according to the European standard, promoting safety and quick execution of services. The manufacturing process uses automated welding with state-of-the-art robots.

2014

Coated pipes

Initial operation of the Tuper tube coating range with capacity for 42 thousand tons/year, With anti-corrosion protection, the Tuper coated pipes are used mainly to move oil, gas and derivatives and water, and in industrial and civil applications.

2016

New partnership

Beginning of a partnership with ArcelorMittal, bringing new opportunities and synergy between the companies, allowing the development of new products to fully meet customer demands.

2019

Innovative product launch

A milestone in the civil construction market, the Tuper Tubular Stakes use an innovative splice concept - Quick Connection - eliminating the need for welding and speeding the pile driving process.

2021

50 years at Tuper

The company turns 50 with the renewal of the brand and a portfolio that includes black and galvanized carbon steel pipes for industrial, structural and transport applications; API pipes; galvanized conduits; tubular foundation stakes with quick connection; metallic structural profiles, automotive parts and components; OEM exhaust systems; metallic roof systems; ribbed slabs; metallic braces; scaffolds; steel plates and slitters. Tuper continues evolving its product ranges, which follow the latest trends and comply with the strictest national and international standards.
