Young basketball athletes representing ASBB participate in an event in Joinville (SC – Brazil)

Young athletes from Associação São Bento de Basquetebol (ASBB) participated on Saturday, May 31st, in Joinville (SC), in the ASPA Institute Basketball Festival. The event’s goal was the official launch of the new edition of the Projeto Basquete.com and took place at EEB (Basic Education School) Plácido Olímpio de Oliveira, in the Bom Retiro neighborhood. The occasion featured students and teachers from the project’s nuclei, as well as special guests and a program focused on promoting integration, fun, and encouragement of sports.

Atletas dos núcleos de Joinville e São Francisco do sul estiveram em quadra com os jovens jogadores da Athletes from the nuclei of Joinville and São Francisco do Sul played on the court with the young players of ASBB to promote synergy and integration between the units, as well as to give visibility to social initiatives supporting sports in the state.

As we have sponsorship from ArcellorMittal Tuper, we were invited to provide this experience to young athletes and thus promote the integration of the projects,” highlighted Professor Ismael Rodrigues, who accompanied the ASBB delegation.

To celebrate the new cycle of the project, uniforms were handed out to ASPA students. The event also included an insightful chat with national basketball idols, such as former Brazilian national team players Tiagão and André Bambu. The veterans not only shared their journeys but also experiences with the children and teenagers present.
