A group of Tuper collaborators received a technical trip with a visit to the Wire & Tube fair in the German city of Düsseldorf. Boarding took place on April 13th, and the seven-day trip resulted from the award for projects selected by an internal program created by the company – Tuper’s Knowledge Academy. The initiative, established since 2010, focuses on the professional and personal development of collaborators to encourage career advancement and stimulate the enhancement of technical skills. The technical trip provides a means of updating with industry trends, as well as the latest productive technologies

Meet the award-winning teams:

The team that received the award at the Tuper Tubes unit consists of Luiz Fernando Carvalho, Marcelo Novacki, Airton Weitner, and Elton Patrick de Souza. The members of the group from the Tuper Oil & Gas unit are Cleverson Gonçalves dos Santos, Fabrício Zeithammer, Osvaldo Behnke Júnior, and Kristoffer Eduardo dos Santos. Tuper’s industrial director Gustavo Bollmann, commercial director Jailson Rodrigo Planca, manufacturing manager Udo H. Sonntag, manufacturing manager Aleksandro de Amorim, engineering and quality manager Fernando Nass, and engineering coordinator Diogo Cubas were the Tuper leaders who accompanied the team on the trip.
Marcelo Novacki, one of the awardees, states, “It was an incredible opportunity, and I thank Tuper for it. During this technical trip, we visited the world’s largest fair in the sector. We got to know technologies that could help us in production processes. I am very proud to have been part of the Knowledge Academy and to participate in this experience.”
Fabrício Zeithammer, another member of the group who participated in the trip, stated that at the beginning of the journey in the Knowledge Academy, achieving this award seemed distant and even impossible. “As the journey progressed, doors opened, and we seized the opportunities that arose. Representing our company at a globally recognized event was a true honor. It was the first time I set foot on foreign soil, and I could witness firsthand the innovation present in the business world. It was certainly a complete immersion in an ocean of ideas, technologies, and diverse cultures,” he declares.

Tuper’s Knowledge Academy

The inspiration to create the Knowledge Academy came from technical training courses aimed at combining theory and practice. Since then, positive results have been observed. Among them are the encouragement of emerging leadership and improvements in manufacturing processes. Similarly, talent retention and greater employee engagement are achieved. The initiative has important partnerships, such as the participation of instructors from entities such as the Industry Social Service (SESI), National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI), and Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina (FIESC). Participating collaborators have the opportunity to experience collective actions from the beginning to develop a project that could be implemented in the company’s production processes. According to Raquel Bollmann, Tuper’s people management coordinator, “The Academy is a noble initiative that goes far beyond technically training employees. It awakens and develops essential competencies in the professional and personal lives of those who propose to participate, adding values that radiate to their families and community“.
